broadcast journalist, film producer, event moderator

I'm co-producing an Afrobeats film, which we hope will be unique and pioneering. Set between the UK and Nigeria, it's a coming-of-age tale exploring identity and belonging, using the global phenomenon that is Afrobeats as a vehicle. We're in scriptwriting and pre-production mode, but we're still raising finance for it.

Editing and publishing GreyContinent.com, a website for great African journalism which will have articles, videos, podcasts, digital story telling.

This is currently on hiatus. I'd like to get the best writers to write for Grey Continent, but the best writers want to get paid, which I support. We're trying to figure out how to make it work on a shoestring budget. We should be back soon.
In-depth journalism and independent reporting on Pan-African current affairs, culture, politics, business and technology.

I'm currently pitching a fairly meta idea to podcast production companies - it's an interview podcast... about interviews. I've developed it alongside Decca Aitkenhead, who's the Sunday Times's chief interviewers.

We'd speak to people who interview for a living and find out about their techniques for getting subjects to open up. I've done thousands of interviews for radio mostly, and Decca's done a fair few too, but we both have different techniques and foibles. If you're a podcast exec who's interested, get in touch!
